How to use the Arc Raiders skill tree builder

Use the Arc Raiders skill tree builder to plan point caps, import creator builds, compare PvP or solo routes, and avoid bad respecs.

Raider planning an Arc Raiders skill tree on a holographic tactical table

Most bad Arc Raiders builds do not look bad after five points. They look bad after 40, when you realize you are locked into the wrong branch and the fix costs more than you wanted to spend.

That is what the builder is for. Use it to sketch the whole route first, then copy the build in-game only if it still makes sense.

Start with the right point total

A 76-point build and a 91-point build are not the same thing. If you copy a maxed creator setup while your account is still short on points, the build usually feels unfinished rather than clever.

Use the point total you actually have, then save a later version for the next Expedition target.

TargetBest use
76 pointsBase planning before extra Expedition points
81 pointsFirst bonus-point version
86 pointsSecond bonus-point version
91 pointsHigh-end planning after the third Expedition reward window

Updated May 2026: official Expedition rewards can push long-term builds past the base level cap, so older build guides may be working from a lower point total.

Build from scratch

If you know what you want to play, start with an empty tree.

  1. 1Pick the job: PvP, solo survival, loot running, squad support, or balanced PvPvE.
  2. 2Put early points into Mobility if the build needs stamina, climbing, rolls, or escape routes.
  3. 3Add Survival when the build needs better looting, crouch movement, field crafting, or carry value.
  4. 4Add Conditioning when fights, shield weight, and pressure tools start to matter.
  5. 5Keep an eye on the branch split. The total point count is only half the story.

A 81-point build with 40 points in Survival plays nothing like a 27/27/27 balanced build, even though both are "81-point builds."

Read the branches like a player

Mobility

Mobility is for raids where movement decides the outcome. If you keep dying while crossing open ground, climbing under pressure, chasing someone, or barely missing extraction, start here.

Good early picks:

  • Marathon Runner
  • Nimble Climber
  • Youthful Lungs
  • Effortless Roll
  • Carry the Momentum

Survival

Survival makes raids quieter and more profitable. It helps most when you can survive the fight but leave with weak loot, or when solo raids keep falling apart after one bad rotation.

Good early picks:

  • Agile Croucher
  • Looter's Instincts
  • Revitalizing Squat
  • In-Round Crafting
  • Broad Shoulders

Conditioning

Conditioning is not always the first branch you rush, but it matters once raids get heavier and fights last longer. Shield weight, recovery, and pressure tools start showing up here.

Good picks to test:

  • Used To The Weight
  • Fight or Flight
  • Proficient Pryer
  • Survivor's Stamina
  • Turtle Crawl

Import a creator build

If you do not want to start from zero, load a build that already exists and change it.

Creator and preset builds use a URL code like this:

/?build=...

Once the build loads, the points are applied automatically. Then you can trim it down, add Expedition points, or move the build toward your own playstyle.

Useful baselines:

  • Tfue balanced build if you want a clean 27/27/27 setup.
  • Cloakzy Turtle PvP if you want a fight-first route with Turtle Crawl.
  • Preset PvP and solo builds if you want something closer to a role template.

Compare before you respec

Before changing your in-game tree, save your current build link. Then create a second version and compare the branch totals.

Ask three questions:

  • Did the new build solve the actual problem?
  • Did it remove a skill you rely on every raid?
  • Is the difference large enough to justify a reset?

If the new version only changes one or two low-impact points, leave your in-game tree alone for now.

Reset, restore, share

The builder reset only affects the online planner. It does not spend coins and does not change your in-game account.

Reset is for a clean draft. Share is for saving a build, sending it to a friend, or keeping an old version around.

Recommended workflow:

  1. 1Load or create the build.
  2. 2Save the URL.
  3. 3Make changes.
  4. 4Save the new URL.
  5. 5Compare both versions before spending in-game resources.

Common mistakes

Planning for the wrong point cap

Do not copy a 91-point build if your account only has 76 points. Use the full build as a target, then make a version you can actually play today.

Copying a PvP build for loot runs

Pure PvP builds can feel bad if your real goal is quiet looting, crafting, and extraction value. Use PvP builds when you expect fights; use Survival-heavy builds when profit matters more.

Ignoring branch balance

A build can have a strong total point count and still feel bad if all the points are in the wrong branch for your playstyle.

Resetting in-game before testing

Test the full route in the builder first. That is the whole point.

FAQ

Is the Arc Raiders Skill Tree Builder official?

No. It is a community tool built to help players plan builds before spending points in-game.

Does resetting the builder reset my in-game skills?

No. Resetting here only clears the online planner.

Can I share my build?

Yes. Save or copy the generated build URL and send it to another player.

What point cap should I use?

Use your current in-game point total for practical planning. Use higher caps like 81, 86, or 91 when planning around Expedition bonuses.
